Meet Our Staff

Sarah Boyer, DVM

Dr. Sarah Boyer is a dedicated veterinarian who earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2021.

Prior to that, she had also completed her undergraduate studies at NC State, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science. She has spent time working in both primary care and emergency settings, building a broad knowledge base and skillset to best serve the patients in her care. Dr. Boyer has special interests in surgery, preventative medicine, and geriatric care.

Dr. Boyer is thrilled to be a part of the Crown Town Animal Hospital team and is eager to continue to provide compassionate, high-quality care to pets and their families.

Since 2021, Dr. Boyer has made Charlotte her home, and she looks forward to building lasting relationships with clients and their furry companions in the Charlotte community. She lives in Plaza Midwood with her husband Rob, their lab mix Fisher, and golden retriever Murphy. In her free time she enjoys running, cooking, and spending as much time outdoors as possible!

Meghan Courey, DVM

Dr. Courey spent the early years of her life in Ohio, before moving to South Carolina. She graduated from Clemson University in 2018 and then went to the Mississippi State College of Veterinary Medicine. Following graduation in 2022, she packed up her bags and returned to the Carolinas to join the team at Wilson Veterinary Hospital, Wendell Animal Hospital, and has now joined Crown Town Animal Hospital. Dr. Courey has a keen interest in clinical pathology, internal medicine, surgery, and calico cats. Meghan spends her time outside of work with her partner in crime, Peter. They have two dogs, Booty and Mango, and four cats, Quinn, Fish, Eleanor and Pickles. When she isn’t working, you can find Meghan cooking, running, paddle boarding, crafting, or spending quality time with her family.
