Meet Our Doctor and Staff
Jacob Mauck, DVM
Dr. Jacob Mauck grew up surrounded by animals as the son of the town vet in rural Central Illinois. After receiving his Bachelor’s degree in zoology from the University of Florida, he graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2011. Moving to the Charlotte area shortly thereafter, Dr. Mauck worked at practices in Bessemer City and Fort Mill before opening Crown Town Animal Hospital in the summer of 2022.
Dr. Mauck and his wife Glenda have two adorable daughters named Evelyn and Lucia and a beloved dog named Maya. Dr. Mauck’s professional interests include dentistry, dermatology, ophthalmology, and soft tissue surgery. In his spare time he enjoys playing music, traveling, and riding his bicycle on the many greenways around Charlotte.
Kim Adams
Practice Manager
Kim is originally from Cape Cod, Massachusetts. She moved to Charlotte in 2006 and began her career as a veterinary assistant. She has always had a passion for helping animals and even wanted to be a veterinarian when she was a child. Kim loves to interact with clients and make their pets feel comfortable while in the hospital. In her free time, she likes spending time with her family and friends, traveling, going to the gym, and walking her dog. Kim lives in Charlotte with her husband Trevor, daughter Hailee, and their dog Bella.
Tizzy Camacho
Receptionist/Veterinary Assitant
Tizzy grew up in New Jersey and spent most of her childhood caring for stray cats and dogs (and even the occasional hamster). She now lives in Charlotte with her dogs Archie and Buddha. Tizzy’s experience at a spay/neuter clinic, as a veterinary assistant, and with customer service makes her an integral part of the team. In her spare time, you can find Tizzy hiking, traveling, and spending time with family.
